XYZ Beach Cruisers Blog

While surfing for some history on the Beach Cruiser, I noticed the Wikipedia entry on the cruiser is being disputed. It appears what’s being disputed is the validity of the description of the Cruiser. Many on the talk page believe they are actually talking about a ‘utility bike’ rather than a ‘cruiser.’ From the talk page alone, we learn most people believe a Beach Cruiser has no gears, except in some cases it may have internal gears. Are the long sloping characteristics of the frame what make it a beach cruiser? The large tires? What makes a beach cruiser a ‘cruiser’ to you?
